Despite reduced numbers and a nerve-wracking few weeks working out how to travel to Montesson, the weekend was of course a great success as usual. Many thanks to Linda who rented and drove a small minibus, so that everyone who wanted to take part was able to. Consequently a total of 15 members travelled to Montesson, including 6 who travelled by car and Sue Kogan who took the Eurostar.
Saturday was spent in Paris, the highlight being a visit to the Louvre. On the Saturday evening everyone enjoyed a buffet supper at the Salle de Fêtes, leaving Sunday morning free for us to spend time with our hosts. An added bonus of travelling by minibus was that we were able to stay a little longer on the Sunday afternoon and were consequently able to stay on to see the Carnival procession. Moreover a few of those who’d travelled independently took advantage of their flexibilty to stay an extra night.
